The adaptation process

Before the first day
We get to know your child
Before your child starts, we talk with you about their personality, routines, favourite activities and anything that helps them feel safe. The more we know, the more we can help your child feel comfortable from the very beginning. Even the smallest details can make a difference. If your child has a comfort toy, a special word for the bathroom or a particular food they love, tell us.

First days
Short visits, growing gradually
Your child starts with shorter stays and we gradually extend their time day by day as they settle in. There is no rush. We follow your child's pace, not a fixed schedule. Some children feel at home within a few days, others need a few weeks. Both are completely normal. We've supported many children through this stage and we never compare children. Every child adapts in their own time.
We gently guide parents through the goodbye — and support your child right away.
We know this part can feel really hard, but it truly helps. Most children calm down within minutes after goodbye, even if the drop-off is emotional.

Joining the group
Step by step into the community
We introduce your child to the group gradually: first observing, then joining small activities, then taking part in the full day. Teachers actively help your child connect with other children through play, so friendships develop naturally and your child begins to feel safe and included.

You're always in the loop
We keep you updated through our dedicated app so you can see how your child's day is going without needing to worry or check in constantly. If something unexpected happens, we contact you straight away by phone. You can also message us anytime to ask how things are going.

Support
Psychologist support when needed
Our psychologist observes the group and is there if your child needs extra support. They are not a visible presence that might worry your child, but if a teacher notices something, there is always additional support available. There is always someone paying close attention to how your child is doing.
For international families
What if my child
doesn't speak Polish or English?
Language is not a barrier for young children. Many of our children start without speaking Polish or English and settle in naturally over time.
Gestures & pictures
Teachers use gestures, facial expressions and visual cues to communicate with children who don't yet speak Polish or English. Children understand much more than words alone.
Play is universal
We invite children into play rather than conversation. A ball, a puzzle, a song. Children connect through activity and language comes naturally once a child feels safe and included.
Gradual group integration
Your child is never thrown into a big group on day one. We introduce them slowly, first alongside one or two children, then gradually into the wider group as confidence grows.
Communication with parents in English
While your child finds their footing, you stay fully informed in English: through the app, by phone, or at pick-up. You never need to wonder what's happening.

Parents ask us
How long does adaptation usually take?
There isn't a single answer. It depends entirely on the child. Some settle in within a few days, others need a few weeks. We never rush the process. What matters is that your child feels safe, not that they adapt quickly.
Can I stay with my child in the classroom?
We've found that children usually settle faster when parents leave the building — it helps them focus on the teachers rather than waiting at the door. We know this part can feel really hard, but the goodbye is usually more difficult for parents than for children. Say a warm goodbye and we take it from there. You'll get updates through the app.
What happens if my child cries a lot and won't calm down?
Every situation is different and we handle it case by case. A child crying at drop-off does not mean they are unhappy during the day. Most children calm down within minutes once the door closes. We will always contact you if we feel it is needed.
Can I check in during the day to see how my child is doing?
Yes. You can message us through the app at any time and we will let you know how things are going. For urgent matters, call us directly. We are always reachable.
My child doesn't speak Polish or English. Will they be okay?
Absolutely. Language is not a barrier for young children. They connect through play, gesture and routine. Our teachers are experienced in welcoming children who don't yet speak the language, and we introduce them to the group gently and gradually.
What if my child doesn't understand the teacher?
At the beginning, children don't need to understand every word. Teachers use gestures, tone of voice and daily routines to help children feel safe and know what to expect. Understanding comes naturally with time.
Who should I contact if I have concerns?
Your first point of contact is your child's teacher, in English, via the app or by phone. We are always open to a conversation about how your child is doing and what we can do to support them better.
